EMC (Electromagnetic Compatibility) is electromagnetic compatibility in Chinese.
The definition of electromagnetic compatibility is that in the same electromagnetic environment, a device can operate normally without being affected by interference from other devices, and at the same time, it will not cause interference that affects the operation of other devices.
It mainly consists of three parts: EMI, EMS, and electromagnetic environment.
(1) EMI (Electromagnetic Interference) means electromagnetic interference in Chinese
Electromagnetic interference: refers to the electromagnetic noise generated by the machine itself during the process of performing its intended functions, which is detrimental to other systems.
The test items include:
① Radiation Emission, abbreviated as RE
② Conducted Emission, abbreviated as CE
③ Harmonic current measurement: Harmonics
④ Voltage fluctuation and flicker measurement: Fluctuation and Flicker
(2) EMS (Electromagnetic Susceptibility) in Chinese means electromagnetic immunity
Electromagnetic immunity: refers to the ability of a machine to perform its intended functions without being affected by the surrounding electromagnetic environment.
The test items include:
① Radiation Susceptibility, abbreviated as RS
② Conduct Susceptibility, abbreviated as CS
③ Electrostatic discharge immunity: ESD
④ Electrical Fast Transient/Burst (EFT/B)
⑤ Surge immunity
⑥ Power frequency magnetic field immunity, abbreviated as PMS
⑦ Voltage dips and/or short interruptions: DIP/interruptions, abbreviated as Dips
(3) The electromagnetic environment refers to the working environment of a system or device.
